For more than 28 years, Cindie Carter has dedicated her work to improving the lives of dogs and the people who love them. She is the founder of Walks and Wags, a full-service provider of dog daycare, dog boarding, dog grooming, dog training, group puppy training classes, dog swimming lessons, and pet taxi services in Mobile, Alabama.

Cindie’s vision for Walks and Wags grew from her lifelong love of animals and her belief that dogs deserve more than basic supervision. They deserve safe care, meaningful canine enrichment, positive social experiences, and individualized attention that supports their physical and emotional well-being.

Under Cindie’s leadership, Walks and Wags has become a trusted resource for local pet parents searching for dog daycare, dependable long term dog boarding, compassionate dog grooming, and good dog training. The facility also offers specialized services such as puppy training, service dog training, dog swimming lessons, and a dog taxi service.

Walks and Wags is recognized as Alabama’s first PACCC-certified pet care facility. Cindie and her family continue to work alongside the Walks & Wags team to maintain high standards for safety, education, enrichment, and personalized care.

Cindie’s approach centers on understanding each dog as an individual. Whether a family needs puppy socialization classes, help building better manners, a safe place for dog daycare, comfortable long term dog boarding, or ongoing grooming support, her goal is to help pet parents make confident, informed decisions.

Looking ahead, Cindie’s vision extends beyond Walks and Wags’ current services. The organization is working toward an indoor training facility designed to help shelter dogs develop the skills needed to become life-changing service animals. For Cindie, professional dog care is more than a business. It is a calling focused on helping dogs live happier, healthier, safer, and more fulfilling lives.
