Five Healthy Resolutions For Your Pets

Keep your pets happy and healthy in 2017!

1. Keep up with regular grooming.

Regular grooming helps keep fur, skin, teeth, and nails in top condition, keeps parasites at bay, and can help detect any new skin lumps or sores that might need medical attention.

Your pet will look and feel their best!

 

2. Add more play & exercise time!

More walks, more ball throws, more group play, more fun!

Every bit of exercise and play that you can add to your pet’s day brings them that much more health and happiness.

 

3. Teach your pet something new.

Exposing your pet to new activities will help keep them in top mental health.

Try enrolling your pet in obedience training or another fun class, and introducing puzzle toys that require your pet to solve a problem to get a treat!

 

4. Evaluate your pet’s diet.

More than half of pets in the U.S. are overweight, which can cause or exacerbate many health problems, including arthritis, pancreatitis, diabetes, heart disease, and more.

Talk to a nutrition expert to find the proper diet for your pet, and then make sure you are providing only the amount required! Choose healthy treats and give only in moderation.

5. Schedule yearly vet visits.

It’s important to bring your pets to the vet for annual wellness visits, not just when they are sick and injured.

A yearly check-up can provide early detection for many types of health problems, making treatment easier and more effective.
